I’m a proud queer person who grew up in Etobicoke and returned to the area as a seasoned clinician with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. I opened the Kingsway location of For Health’s Sake with my Mum as the first franchise site, because I wanted to bring compassionate, whole-person care into our community.
My clinical focus centres on supporting people navigating life with a queer identity, as well as those working through trauma, grief, anxiety, relationship challenges, and the everyday struggles people face. I take an integrative, client-led approach: we assess where you are, build a collaborative plan, and then work together to increase self-awareness, process difficult experiences, and develop practical tools that help you feel more settled, confident, and connected.
I supervise student, pre-licensed, and licensed professionals. Supervision is a core part of how I give back to the field — it helps ensure high-quality, reflective practice across our team and enables us to provide better care for our community. Therapy with me is pragmatic and relational. I aim to create a warm, affirming space where you are seen and heard, and where change is measured in meaningful shifts: less reactivity, clearer boundaries, more fulfilling relationships, and everyday skills you can use outside the therapy room.
On a personal note, I’m a big fan of board games, and I share my life with my dog, Odysseus (Ody for short), who sometimes visits the clinic to spend quiet time with clients. If you’re curious about whether we might be a good fit, book a free 20-minute consultation and let’s discuss where you are and what you need.

Education
- Master of Science in Physiotherapy, McMaster University (2014)
- Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, York University (2010)
I’m a physiotherapist with a Master of Physiotherapy from McMaster University and a deep passion for helping people move, feel, and live better. With three young children of my own, I understand how busy life can be and how easily self-care gets pushed aside. That perspective shapes my approach to physiotherapy: practical, empathetic, and focused on helping patients get back to the things that matter most to them.
I chose physiotherapy because I love problem-solving, working directly with people, and guiding them through meaningful recovery. My clinical focus includes shoulder, lower-back, knee, ankle, and postural conditions, but I enjoy treating all types of musculoskeletal injuries. I take a whole-body perspective and often address contributing movement patterns or surrounding joints to create long-lasting change rather than temporary relief.
What I enjoy most is educating patients so they fully understand their condition and feel confident in their rehabilitation. My sessions typically blend manual therapy, targeted exercise, taping, cupping, acupuncture, and other evidence-based techniques tailored to each individual. I believe there is always more than one path to improvement, so I work collaboratively with every patient to find a treatment plan that fits their goals, preferences, and lifestyle.
Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my family, traveling with my wife and kids, and watching MMA. I’m excited to join FHS Kingsway and help build a supportive, empowering environment for everyone who walks through our doors.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting you on your health journey.

Hi! I’m Rachel, a Registered Acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Practitioner, who is passionate about helping you achieve your best health through natural, time-tested methods.
Acupuncture is a natural therapy that stimulates the body’s healing processes by activating endorphins and other physiological responses, thereby supporting overall healing. In my practice, I combine acupuncture with other techniques, including guasha, Tuina, electroacupuncture, scalp and auricular acupuncture, acupressure, ear seeds, the TDP lamp, and moxibustion. Together, these methods create personalized treatment plans tailored to your unique needs.
I am most interested in fertility, dermatological problems, musculoskeletal issues, and cosmetic and facial rejuvenation. Other areas of interest include jaw pain, sinusitis, indigestion, stress, anxiety, sleep disorders, and hair loss. The most rewarding part of my work is seeing my patients experience real improvements—whether it’s reduced pain, clearer skin, or a brighter mood. I truly believe in the holistic power of TCM to promote well-being, and I’m here to guide and support you on your journey to better health.
I’m excited to be part of the team at For Health’s Sake Kingsway, and I look forward to working with you to achieve your wellness goals!
Rachel is registered and in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO).

As someone who has always been passionate about movement and the human body, whether at the gym, on the field, or in clinical practice, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people move better, feel better, and live with less pain. This hands-on approach to wellness is what drew me to osteopathy, where I’ve found the tools to not only relieve symptoms but uncover and treat the root causes of dysfunction.
I’m an experienced Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with a degree in Kinesiology and a Master of Practice in Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences from the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy, where I also teach as a professor of osteopathic physiology. Guiding the next generation of osteopaths keeps me sharp and constantly evolving as a practitioner.

I take pride in creating personalized, whole-body treatment plans that not only help relieve pain but restore function and improve quality of life.
Whether you’re dealing with longstanding discomfort, recovering from an injury, or simply feeling out of alignment, my goal is to support your body’s ability to self-heal and perform at its best.

I am so excited to be a part of the team at For Health’s Sake as an RMT! I have been living in this area for about eight years. I love my neighbours here, the river and the trails, and the wildlife along the Humber River. Etobicoke’s name is derived from the Anishinaabe word wdo’bik, which means “place where the black poplar trees grow.” I am thrilled to work within this neighbourhood and support our community.
At the heart of my practice as a registered massage therapist is a genuine desire to help people feel better, in any way that I can. I became an RMT not just to ease tension in the body, but to be a part of something bigger—to contribute to my community in a way that promotes lasting health and well-being.
Massage is a powerful therapy that can address various issues related to the body and mind. Stress can have an immensely oppressive effect on the body and appears in ways we would never think of, and the body has a way of holding onto tension and pain that can feel impossible to overcome. We will communicate to determine the best approach and techniques for you and design a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
I am thrilled to be part of a multidisciplinary clinic that encourages a holistic approach to health and learning, and growth. It is a truly special experience to be among so many wonderful practitioners who are dedicated to helping others.
The land where I practice is the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Wendat, and Mississaugas, and remains home to many diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities. Etobicoke’s name is derived from the Anishinaabe word wdo’bik, which means “place where the black poplar trees grow.” I’m grateful to work here and learn from the rich history of this land and its people.

I approach challenges with a touch of wit and a healthy dose of sarcasm, believing that a well-timed laugh can make even the toughest situations more manageable. Do you ever feel like no one truly understands? Struggling to find the right words for your thoughts and feelings?
As a Filipina therapist, I know how much culture shapes the way we see ourselves and the world around us. In my space, you don’t have to pause to translate your story or explain the details. I get it, and that means we can spend more time focusing on you.
You understand your life and its challenges better than anyone else. I’m only here to help you write your story. Whether it’s navigating romantic relationships, family dynamics, immigrant experiences, or friendships, I’m here to offer guidance and support, not to erase the issues, but to help you work through them.
Let’s explore it together. I create a space where you can be authentic and open, helping you uncover who you truly are, what matters most to you, and what you need to move forward. Your comfort, emotional safety, and our therapeutic relationship are my top priority.

We all carry stories, and for some, therapy becomes a space where these stories are shared for the first time. I welcome these stories with genuine care and gentle curiosity. I take the time to understand your story beyond past experiences or diagnoses, and create a warm, supportive space for you to feel seen and heard.
My goal is to co-create a space that honours your lived experiences, working together to navigate life’s obstacles, and move toward a life that feels meaningful to you. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxious thoughts or having difficulties managing life stressors, you don’t have to face it on your own. Building safety and trust is fundamental to my work, and I hope that you feel comfortable showing up exactly as you are.
My approach is client-centred, trauma-informed, and strength-based, recognizing that everyone has unique resources and strengths that assist them in their pathway to healing. I also view therapy as a space for building resilience by deepening self-understanding, clarifying values, and strengthening connections to self-care, even when life feels steady. Therapy with me is integrative, meaning I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities that best fit your personal needs and goals.
I understand how difficult it can be to reach out for help. You don’t need to have all the answers; we can figure things out together and move at your own pace. Just as I invite you to show up as your full self, I, too, show up with openness, authenticity, and a grounded, compassionate presence. If it sounds like we’d be a good fit, please reach out to schedule a free 20-minute phone consultation to see how I can best support you

Hi, I’m Kendra—a therapist who believes that healing starts with feeling safe, seen, and supported. My approach is warm, conversational, and deeply human. I want sessions to feel like a soft place to land—whether we’re working through parenting struggles, exploring a new diagnosis, or just figuring out how to get through a tough season. I often show up to the session with a blanket and a coffee, and I hope you’ll feel comfortable showing up just as you are, too.
I work with adults, children, and families, offering support that’s individualized to your unique needs, identity, and life story. My areas of focus include parenting, child development, neurodiversity (especially autism and ADHD), infertility and pregnancy, and navigating family structures of all kinds—including single-parent homes, blended families, queer and 2SLGBTQ+ parenting and polyamorous relationships. I also have experience supporting first responders and adults receiving later-in-life diagnoses of ADHD or autism.
As a queer person myself, I bring a strong commitment to inclusivity and a deep respect for the complexity of each person’s experience. I offer both virtual sessions and in-person therapy at The Kingsway location, and I aim to create a space where you feel truly at ease—like you can exhale and be yourself, without judgment.
Outside of work, I’m often spending time with my daughter, curling up with my Mini Dachshund Ralphy and binge watching some Netflix, reading, colouring, doing yoga, or getting outdoors—especially at the cottage. I believe therapy can be powerful and still feel gentle. If that sounds like what you need, I’d love to meet you.

Sometimes in life, we simply feel stuck. Maybe you used to feel happier, but now lack energy and motivation. Maybe you have started experiencing anxiety and worry that you are losing control over your life. These emotions can occur seemingly out of nowhere, or they may be tied to a clear event. Regardless of how they arise, complex emotions are an unavoidable part of human life. As a social work intern, I am committed to helping you explore the complex and nuanced emotions that you may not have the words to express.
Healing is not a linear process; rather than trying to “fix” individuals, I use a narrative lens to explore your unique perspective, so that together we can unpack the experiences that no longer serve you. My goal is to help you feel more like yourself, not the other way around.
If that sounds like a good fit, I would love to connect with you on a free consultation call. Through working with me, you will gain a new perspective on life and a stronger connection to your inner voice. Everyone has a story to tell; it would be an honour to hear yours if you will let me
